Xiaomi Redmi K50 Series About To Launch In February 2022

We’ve been hearing rumours about Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi K50 series for a few months now and while the company hasn’t said anything about it, reputable tipster Digital Chat Station claims the Redmi K50 range will go public towards the end of February 2022. That’s not surprising, given that the K40 series debuted around the same time this year.

The tipster also claims that the Redmi K50 series would include four variants, similar to the K40 lineup: K-50, K-50 Pro, K-50 Pro+, and K-50 Gaming.

The Redmi K50 Pro Plus is likely to be loaded equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, while the K50 Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 870 processor. The Dimensity 7000 and Dimensity 9000 are likely to be included in the vanilla K50 and K50 Gaming, respectively.

The Redmi K50 series smartphones are also expected to come preloaded with MIUI 13 and includes in-display fingerprint scanners.

The Redmi K50 Gaming is rumored to come with a 64MP primary camera and a 5000mAh battery, while the Redmi K50 Pro Plus is expected to come with a 108MP primary camera and a periscope telephoto unit.

We’ve also heard that the Redmi K50 series will include 100W charging and IP68 dust and water protection, but don’t expect all four versions to have these features.
