
The Xbox console assistant on Windows will be discontinued on August 28 and will be replaced by the Xbox app
On August 28, Microsoft Xbox said it would stop supporting the Xbox Console Helper Windows app and switch to the Xbox app instead.
On Windows-based devices, you can play games and manage game content through the Xbox app. Whether a user has a Game Pass, a Game Pass for PC, or has bought the game from the Microsoft Store, they can play games within the app.

Game Pass: Get access to more than 100 top-notch games, including well-known Bethesda games, daily new releases, and EA Play.
Games purchased from the official Microsoft Store are available for installation through the app.

Cloud Gaming: Game Pass Ultimate subscribers don’t need to install anything in order to start playing console games right away on the cloud.
