The Release Date of OnePlus Open is Confirmed

Fans looking forward to OnePlus entering the foldable smartphone market finally have an idea! OnePlus will unveil its first foldable OnePlus Open on August 29. Insider Max Jambor and Smartprix confirmed the release date.

We will see the OnePlus Open in all its glory in a month and a half.

OnePlus will continue its push into the U.S. market, launching its first foldable phone, the OnePlus Open, via live streaming at a large event in New York. In doing so, the OnePlus Open will compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series in the U.S. The OnePlus Open will be available globally growing alongside the foldable smartphone market.

OnePlus Open specifications hint at a powerful folding smartphone; let’s see what surprises it brings.

OnePlus Open will have a 6.3-inch external AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120hz and a resolution of Full HD+. The internal display is 7.8 inches with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will power the foldable phone with 16 G.B. of RAM and 512GB of storage.

OnePlus Open will be equipped with a 50-megapixel IMX890 main camera. It will also bring a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with periscope zoom.

OnePlus Open will use a large 4800mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The foldable phone will run OneDeep’s popular OxygenOS 13 with special tweaks optimized for foldable displays. OnePlus’ unique software experience for the OxygenOS operating system should be one of the main selling points for these devices that set them apart from the competition.

OnePlus Open is quite satisfactory; with the hardware configuration of a flagship mobile phone, it can be used as a good choice for the foldable part. Prices are currently unknown. However, there is only one and a half months, and OnePlus will soon launch a warm-up marketing campaign to promote its entry into this new field.

We want to know how the OnePlus brand will compete with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and tcl MagicV2. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, which will be available in a few weeks, will be OnePlus’ biggest rival.
