Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series leaked EU prices
The latest Samsung new product launch event is scheduled for July 26. About three weeks from now. At that time, Samsung will introduce new upgrades to the existing product series. These include folding-screen mobile phones, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series, and other new products.
Today we’re focusing on Samsung’s tablet, and like its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S9 will come in three different flavors. The product line includes the regular Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra. However, before the launch, Sam insider obtained European pricing details for the upcoming tablet series.
According to the Samsung retailer database, the 11-inch Galaxy Tab S9 is available in 8GB and 128GB configurations and is priced at 929 euros (about 7,500 yuan). The same model, with 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage configuration, is priced at 1,049 euros (about 8,500 yuan).
The 12GB and 256GB configuration of the Galaxy Tab S9+ retail for 1,149 euros (about 9,100 yuan), and the 12GB and 256GB configuration of the Tab S9 Ultra retails for 1,369 euros (about 12,100 yuan).
One thing to note here is that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series prices are for the WiFi models. The 5G version of the same model will cost more than that in the EU. Also, the price includes VAT, so it is difficult to convert it to USD or any other currency as the VAT will differ in other regions.
But even when you factor in the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series in the EU, it’s clear that the series has seen a price hike. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series starts at 750 euros (about 6,000 yuan). However, according to the retailer’s database, the S9 series starts at 929 euros (about 7,500 yuan), an unusual increase.
Let’s take a look at the expected specifications of the Galaxy Tab S9 series:
The entire Galaxy Tab S9 lineup will be similarly configured. For example, all tablet screens will be AMOLED, which is advantageous because AMOLED is better than IPS or other panels. The series will also use Qualcomm’s exclusive Snapdragon 8Gen2 Fox Galaxy, a flagship chipset with top-level performance.
The regular version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series will feature an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X WQXGA display. Since it’s an AMOLED screen, you can enjoy crisp and clear details from the tablet. The front camera on the regular model is a 12-megapixel sensor, while there’s a 13-megapixel lens on the back.
As a result, the tablet’s camera configuration is good enough for general photography. Speaking about the tablet’s battery, the tablet has an 8,400mAh battery, which should provide enough runtime for users.
Galaxy Tab S9+
The Galaxy Tab S9+ is the middle version of the entire series. This naturally means that it is slightly better equipped than the stock version. Specifically, the main upgrades are the camera configuration, battery, and display. Regarding display, the S9+ has a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen, which should provide an immersive viewing experience.
Secondly, in terms of camera configuration, Samsung is equipped with a 12-megapixel selfie camera like a regular tablet, but it is equipped with 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors on the back. An upgrade to the rear camera will make the Galaxy Tab S9+ better at taking pictures.
As for the battery, the Galaxy Tab S9+ packs a 10,090mAh battery, which is perfect for Android gaming.
Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
This is the high-end option in Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 series. As you might expect, it comes with high-end specs. One of these is the ability to configure the tablet with up to 16GB RAM, giving you enough headroom to run resource-intensive games and apps easily. It will also make multitasking smoother.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra has also been upgraded in the display. At 14.6 inches long, it’s the largest in the series. This big screen will take immersive viewing to a new level.
Also, you have two front cameras and two rear cameras. The back configuration is the same as the Galaxy Tab S9+, while a 12MP sensor has been added to the front. That makes the S9 Ultra an excellent choice for tablet photography.
Finally, the battery capacity of the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is 11200mAh. Likewise, it has the largest battery in the range. Therefore, you can expect better battery life from this tablet. You can play games, watch shows and movies for hours without worrying about having a phone charger or power bank around.
Thoughts on the Galaxy Tab S9 series:
So far, the Galaxy Tab S9 series looks great. While unconfirmed, the series is also expected to bring faster charging speeds. This is handy if you use your tablet to run power-hungry apps. Overall, these devices are worth the upgrade if you’re using an older tablet. The price is reasonable for what you get.
But yes, if you want a powerful tablet without paying a premium, check out the recently launched Nubia Red Magic gaming tablet. It starts at 3,899 yuan ($538), about half the price of the regular Tab S9. Nonetheless, it comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, the last generation of flagship processors.
