Samsung Announces Galaxy A33, A53, and A73
Samsung just held a Galaxy A event online revealing new phones in the A-series. The event announced three new 5G phones; Galaxy A73, A53, and A33 5G with a new Exynos 1280 5nm chip. The camera modules are the same for these phones though.
The new top of the line Samsung Galaxy A73 5G
All-New Display
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is the new top of the Galaxy A line phone which provides the biggest display of all i.e., 6.7-inch Super AMOLED technology, 120 Hz FHD+ display. That’s a change in refresh rate by Samsung whereas Galaxy A72 had a 90 Hz display in the recent year.
Connectivity, RAM, and Storage
A73 5G also offers a 5G connectivity whereas A73 didn’t. The next-gen phone supports next-gen connectivity. However, the chipset isn’t revealed yet it is being used with 6 and 8GB of RAM and 128, 256GB storage. There is also a micro-SD card support of up to 1TB.
All About the Camera
The phone has a 108MP main sensor supporting OIS, an aperture of f/1.8 that replaced the 64MP sensor in the previous phone. This time there is no telephoto lens used in the device but there is a catch. The main camera with high resolution is used to zoom the photos. With the main camera, there is also a 5MP macro camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.
The front camera is a 32MP sensor inside the punch hole of the display.
Big Battery and Super-Fast Charging
The battery is 5,000 mAh used which is the same as a 25W super-fast charging. Even the other two phones offer the same battery capacity.
Software
The Phone will use Android 12 and One UI 4.2 out of the box. Samsung will provide four years of Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
Release date and Price
The launch date for Galaxy A73 5G will be April 22 for some specific markets and the prices are yet to be announced.

Display
The next phone in the series is Samsung Galaxy A53 5G provides a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED, 120 Hz, and FHD+ display. The display is a punch-hole type with a 32MP selfie cam.
The same Cameras
The main sensor used in the phone is 64MP with OIS and f/1.8 aperture. With the main camera, a 5MP macro lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with aperture f/2.2 are used. The camera modules are pretty much the same from A52 and A52s so not much of an upgrade on this side.
RAM and Storage
A53 5G has two configs 6/128GB and 8/256GB with micro-SD card support up to 1TB.
A new Chipset
The new chipset in the phone really up the night mode shots using fusion among 12 images at once. The software also introduces a better portrait mode with a better separation of background from the subject. Also, the software can adjust the frame of video recordings in ambient light automatically using AI.
Battery and Charging
There is a raise in battery capacity from the A53 series (4500 mAh) which is 5,000 mAh now. The charging power is the same i.e. 25W. These specs resemble very much the Galaxy S22 except that S22 has a lower battery capacity of 3,700 mAh.
Software
The Phone will use Android 12 and One UI 4.2 out of the box. Samsung will provide four years of Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
Protection
The phone holds an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, and Gorilla Glass 5 for the display.
Release date and Price
The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G will be launched in specific markets on April 1st. The prices are $450 for career-free units on March 1st. Although it will be also available in known careers like Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and others from April 1st.

The new end of the line Samsung Galaxy A33 5G
The Best Display in the end line
The end of the line in the A series is Galaxy A33 5G which has the same size as of A33 with a display size of 6.4-inch, 90 Hz refresh rate, and an FHD+ Super AMOLED panel. Although Galaxy A32 5G had a 60 Hz HD+ LCD. This marks a big improvement in the panel. Better than Galaxy A23 and M33 as well. But the panel used in the water-drop notch was used because of the least price among the series.
Camera
The main camera is a 48MP module with OIS and f/1.8 aperture. With the main camera, there is an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The front camera is a 13MP ultra-wide sensor in a notch display (no punched hole).
Battery and Charging
The phone holds a 5,000 mAh battery same as it is on the other phones. There is a 15W charging taking a whole lot of time to charge up the device around 2.5 hours. But the battery provides a 2-day backup acclaimed by Samsung.

Samsung will not include any charger with the Galaxy A series retail boxes for a sustainable and green environment with lower use of materials in the boxing. The phones will be using recycled materials inside the SIM card trays and side buttons.
