Google Pixel 9 Renderings Show That It Will Use Three Rear Cameras

Google Pixel 9 renders show a triple-camera setup, including a telephoto camera module. This is a first for a non-pro Pixel smartphone, and represents a significant upgrade from the base model. The upcoming Pixel 9 series of smartphones may debut in October.

The Google Pixel 9 smartphone has a 6.1-inch screen. It will also feature a Full HD+ AMOLED screen to keep the price lower than the Pro model with a QHD+ panel. Dimensions are 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5~12.00mm. At this size it’s smaller than the Google Pixel 8, but thinner. It’s worth noting that the Pixel 8’s screen is slightly larger at 6.2 inches.

From the renderings, we can see that the Google Pixel 9 looks more and more like an iPhone, with a straight screen and a right-angled middle frame. Additionally, the power button and volume rocker of the upcoming Google Pixel 9 will be located on the right side of the smartphone.

The left side of the device will have antenna markings similar to the Pro version. The device will also have a SIM card tray, a USB Type-C port and speaker grilles on the bottom. The millimeter wave radome and microphone will be placed on top. Google Pixel 9 series smartphones may be equipped with Tensor G4 chipset.

The upcoming smartphone is also likely to include several AI features. In related news, Gizmochina also shared images of protective cases for the Google Pixel 9 Pro smartphone. Leaked news confirms that the Pixel 9 Pro rear camera module is more rounded, conspicuous and shorter, unlike the Pixel 8, which stretches from edge to edge.

Google has promised to provide 7 years of hardware and software support for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, and this commitment will also be extended with the new Google Pixel 9 series models released in the future.

The Pixel 9 series to be released at the same time will continue to maintain the “easy to repair” design concept. As early as 2022, Google will cooperate with iFixit to make the repair of Pixel phones simple and easy. The new Pixel Diagnostics app does exactly what its name suggests. With this app, users can check for issues with their Google Pixel smartphones and determine how to fix them.

Other specifications of the Google Pixel 9 smartphone have not yet been revealed. We expect more details to emerge in the coming months. The phone is expected to be released in October, which is still several months away.
