South Korean news agency, The Elec reports that next year’s Pro model will bring a 48MP punchhole selfie camera while Apple is tackling supply chain constraints on the current iPhone line. The 6.06-inch iPhone 14 Pro and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max are said to use the LG Display LTPO 120Hz OLED panel, making them the only model with a new look.
The non-Pro iPhone 14 model, consisting of the 6.06 inch model and the new 6.7 inch version, will continue to have a notch and the display will be provided by the BOE. Entry-level models are not expected to provide LTPO screens and 120Hz refresh rates.
This article predicts that the BOE will begin supplying LTPO panels for the iPhone 15 series from 2023. Apple will also launch an improved iPhone SE model in 2022, which has the same design as the current model but with the addition of 5G connectivity.
